About the project:
We are currently working on several projects. The first project you may be assigned to is a migration of heavy-traffic (5 millions pageviews/months, 40000 users) social networking site. The previous bespoke application written in PHP and MySQL wasn't able to cope with the feature-demanding client. The application we are migrating to is based on Drupal with some bespoke modules for social networking and optimization patches. Mostly, we aim to use as much as possible from exisiting Drupal modules.

Job responsibilities:
* Web development using Drupal and CivicSpace.
* Custom coding for specific project needs.
* Client contact on site development and technical support.
* Work closely with designers and sysadmin.
* Website configuration and administration.
* Custom module development (for client projects and Drupal community development efforts).
Your skills and expertise:
* Programmer familiar with Drupal API, who's been working with Drupal and/or CivicSpace.
* Additional expertise in MySQL, *nix, Apache, xml, (x)html, Javascript and AJAX (Dojo Toolkit).
* Client relations skills for contact by phone, email and IM.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Proficency in the English language. (Multilingual is a plus!)

Small well funded startup seeking senior systems administrator/ web operations engineer to setup and maintain engineering development environments and commercial web sites. This position is a key, *hands-on* position involved throughout the product development and deployment lifecycles. The environment will be highly dynamic with iterative product releases for multiple commercial web sites.
Job Responsibilities:
.Build and maintain engineering development environment consisting of open source tools such as: CVS, Subversion, bugzilla, corporate wiki
.Build and maintain engineering test servers and testing harnesses to stress test and profile web sites prior to deployment
.Provide input into web-site architecture to enhance availability and performance
.Build, deploy, maintain, support and profile high-availability web site that will support large consumer population of subscribers
Qualifications:
.Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Highly adaptable
.5-10 years experience designing architecture, building, deploying, and maintaining web servers, load balancers, RAID technologies for web industry
.3 * 5 years experience in setup and monitoring web sites
.3 * 5 years experience in open source LAMP environments
.Experience with large commercial web sites
.Experienced programmer to support automation for production web sites and engineering development environment
.Prior industry experience with both start-ups and industry leaders
