- Must be really good at PHP/MySQL (2+ years experience) with good examples of clean code. I'm a stickler for standards-compliance, clean code, full-css, separation of presentation / content, etc, etc, etc.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Most of the design/development work comes from AdWords clients, which is actually what the business specializes in. Someone who is a Qualified AdWords Professional gets bonus points. Would need to be willing to become one otherwise, which I can help you with.
- Been doing more open-source development for small projects. Experience with Drupal, Wordpress, SugarCMS, etc. would be great.
- We also do a lot of Google Analytics set-up and monitoring. Experience implementing and configuring would be good.

This candidate will be responsible for converting legacy applications to PHP as well as database design and development. About the project:
We are currently working on several projects. The first project you may be assigned to is a migration of heavy-traffic (5 millions pageviews/months, 40000 users) social networking site. The previous bespoke application written in PHP and MySQL wasn't able to cope with the feature-demanding client. The application we are migrating to is based on Drupal with some bespoke modules for social networking and optimization patches. Mostly, we aim to use as much as possible from exisiting Drupal modules.
After migration, you can still work on optimization and adding new features, but you can move to a different project as well (e.g. developing the NobleProg ERP system, part of which you will see during the recruitment process).

We are looking to hire a full-time technical lead (as Employee #1) to drive the transformation of our growing web business into a scalable, world-class operation. Primary responsibilities include:
- Architecting all technical site infrastructure, including database, content management/publishing, e-commerce, traffic analytics, widgets/social platform apps, and presentation layer. Our site is currently built in PHP and MySQL, with some Java and Perl on the back end and some Javascript/AJAX on the front. As our technical lead, you will play a pivotal role in all future technical design decisions.
- Coding, and lots of it. This means the rapid prototyping and development of new product ideas, building new site functionality and pages, extending our database of sports statistics, enhancing existing applications, and QA’ing all of the above. Although UI design skills are not required, front-end coding skills are needed in order to implement page designs from wireframes.
